Description:
Single
conductor, extra-flexible and neoprene-covered
for use as an arc-welding or portable electrode
holder cable.
Conductor:
Soft flexible copper, uncoated, rope lay stranded
with bunch stranded members. The individual
wires making up the conductor shall be #34
AWG per ICEA S-19-81, Par. 7.5.2., and 7.5.2.2.
Separator:
Paper sleeve between conductor and jacket
per ICEA S-19-81, Par. 7.5.3.
Jacket:
Oil and abrasion resistant neoprene, extruded
concentrically over the conductor - with separator
to the dimensions shown in the table of Construction
Details, meeting the requirement of ICEA S-19-81,
Par. 7.5.4.2. for medium duty jackets.
Note:
Welding cables manufactured in accordance
with this specification are designed to be
used only in conjunction with the secondary
voltages typical of welding equipment. They
are not designed to be used at full line voltages.
